Federico Macheda scored two goals in the first 12 minute of the game, the first coming in 24 seconds, to earn Most Valuable Player honors for the English Premier League's Manchester United in a 5-2 thrashing of the Major League Soccer All-Stars before a record crowd of 70,728 at Reliant Stadium in Houston Wednesday.
It was the largest loss for the MLS All-Stars since changing the format of the game to have the All-Stars face international competition.
The crowd was also the fourth largest crowd to ever watch an All-Star Game from any major sports league in the US.
Darron Gibson, Tom Cleverley and newcomer Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez also added goals for United.
MLS got late goals in the 64th minute from Brian Ching of the hometown Houston Dynamo and in the 90th minute by former Dynamo and now Toronto FC star Dwayne DeRosario.
