Roger Levesque rifled a shot from Fredy Montero into the back of the net as the Seattle Sounders won a Major League Soccer game on the road for the second time this season in a 1-0 victory Thursday over DC United at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC.
The Sounders are 4-8-4 with 16 points and in seventh place in the Western Conference standings and will next host the Colorado Rapids July 25.
United became the first team in the league to lose 10 games during the season and is currently on a four-game losing streak. At 3-9-3 with 12 points, they hold firm to seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. They will host the best team in the Western Conference and all of MLS -- the Los Angeles Galaxy -- Sunday.
