Laventure Double Gives Ironbound Express Win Over Spartans

Jerrod Laventure scored on a 15th minute penalty kick goal and put in an unassisted point in the 89th minute as the host Ironbound Express defeated the Central Jersey Spartans 3-1 in USL Premier Development League play Wednesday at Lubetkin Field at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Andrew Konopelsky added his own unassisted goal in the 47th minute and Robert James Allen scored the lone Spartans goal in the 56th minute.

The Express remain on top of the standings in the Eastern Conference - Mid-Atlantic Division at 9-2-1 with 28 points, the best record in the PDL so far this season. They will host Reading United AC July 7.

The Spartans, meanwhile, are in third place in the division at 5-4-3 with 18 points and host the New Jersey Rangers July 14.

  1. Soccer is really the king of games recently all teams are fighting for world cup i did not able to go at ground but i decided with all my friends that we watch all matches together at my home for extra enjoyment.
