Corey Hertzog assisted on a Jon Ports goal in the 65th minute and scored off an Eric Detzel assist in the 85th minute as Reading United AC played to a 2-2 draw with the host Ironbound Express in USL Premier Development League play Wednesday at Lubetkin Field at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
The Express got a penalty kick goal in the 67th from Jerrod Laventure to tie the game the first time and Christopher Karcz's unassisted 77th minute goal knotted the game the second time.
Despite the draw, the Express maintain the lead in the Eastern Conference - Mid-Atlantic Division with a 9-2-2 record and 29 points. They will take on the Northern Virginia Royals Sunday.
Reading is now 8-1-3 with 27 points, a win behind the Express for the division lead, and will travel to the Ocean City Nor'Easters Saturday.
