Gabriel Gonzalez's goal in the 82nd minute off a Jose Cuevas assist caused the host Fresno Fuego to play to a 2-2 draw at Chukchansi Park Thursday against the Southern California Seahorses in USL Premier Development League action.
Jacob Ravenscroft scored Southern California's opening goal in the fourth minute from an assist by Trent Popp. Fresno countered with three minutes until halftime on an unassisted Mihallo Jovanovic goal.
Joel Crompton put the Seahorses back on top in the 65th minute with an unassisted goal before Gonzalez's game-tying twist.
The Fuego are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference - Southwest Division at 5-4-3 with 18 points, which puts them two points behind the defending league champion Ventura County Fusion for third place (6-3-1, 19) and three behind the Hollywood United Hitmen for second place (6-2-2, 20).
Southern California is 3-6-2 with 11 points and is in seventh place in the standings.
Both tems will host the Los Angeles Legends in their next match -- Southern California doing so Saturday, Fresno this coming Thursday.
