Marko Perovic scored an unassisted goal in the 77th minute as the host Chicago Fire defeated the New England Revolution 1-0 in the second game of Group B play between Major League Soccer teams at the 2010 SuperLiga tournament Saturday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.
The tournament pits the best teams from MLS against the best from Mexico's Primera Division for a $1 million prize, the richest prize in North American soccer.
With the victory and a 2-2 tie between Pumas UNAM and Monarcas Morelia in the first game of a doubleheader, the Fire clinched a berth in the tournament semifinals.
Chicago's final tournament game in group play will be Tuesday at home against Pumas.
