Findley PK Gives RSL 10-Game Unbeaten Streak; Beat Fire

Robbie Findley's penalty kick in the 40th minute was the only point of the match as defending Major League Soccer champion Real Salt Lake beat the host Chicago Fire 1-0 Thursday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.

The win extended RSL's unbeaten streak to 10 games and they have won eight of those contests.

RSL goalkeeper Nick Rimando also stretched their team-record streak of shutout soccer to 498 minutes.

Salt Lake is 9-3-3 with 30 points, putting them in second place in the Western Conference standings, seven points behind the Los Angeles Galaxy (11-1-3, 36) for the division lead. RSL next travels to Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX next Saturday to play FC Dallas.

Chicago, who lost their third straight game, is 4-5-5 with 17 points and is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference table and are three points behind Toronto FC (5-4-4, 19) for third place. The Fire are now off untl August 1 when they face the Los Angeles Galaxy at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
