David Ferreira's 57th minute goal on a penalty kick gave host FC Dallas a 1-0 victory over the Kansas City Wizards in Major League Soccer play Saturday at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, TX.
Dallas has won their last three straight games and are unbeaten in their last four games.
At 5-2-6 with 21 points, they are tied for third place in the Western Conference standings with the Colorado Rapids (6-3-3) and are seven points behind the defending league champion Real Salt Lake (8-3-3, 27) for second. Dallas takes on the Seattle Sounders at Qwest Field next Sunday.
Kansas City lost their second straight game and have lost 10 of their last 11 games. At 3-7-3 with 12 points, they are in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and host Chivas USA of the Western Conference this Saturday.
