Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes Wednesday announced the release of midfielder Ramon Sanchez and goalkeeper Andrew Weber.
Sanchez started 11 of 13 games since joining the team in 2009 and scored two goals and an assist in his first season, but only played 83 minutes in one game -- a start -- this season.
Weber, who joined the team April 11, 2009, played in two games in the 2009 season and earned his first MLS win September 27 against DC United. He had not seen any playing time this season.
