The Earthquakes are 5-4-4 with 19 points and are in fifth place in the Western Conference standings, three points behind the Colorado Rapids (6-3-3, 21 points) and FC Dallas (5-2-6, 21) for fourth. They will visit the expansion Philadelphis Union's new PPL Park this Saturday.
United, 3-9-2 with 11 points, saw Stephen King assist Andy Najar on a 54th minute goal to be tied with the Philadelphia Union (3-7-2) and the New England Revolution (3-9-2) and the Western Conference's Chivas USA (3-9-2) as having the worst record in MLS. DC travels to Harrison, NJ Saturday to play the New York Red Bulls at new Red Bull Arena.
