Dynamo Welcome Ex-Revolution Star Ralston As Assistant Coach

Nearly 24 hours after officially announcing his retirement as a professional soccer player Wednesday, former New England Revolution midfielder Steve Ralston was introduced Thursday by Major League Soccer's Houston Dynamo as an assistant to head coach Dominic Kinnear, replacing John Spencer, who resigned from the team this week for personal reasons.

Ralston served as a player/assistant coach with AC St. Louis of the USSF Division 2 Pro League.

He played his last game in the league against Monarcas Moreila in the final game of group play in the 2010 SuperLiga tournament, pitting MLS and Mexican Primera Division teams against each other for a $1 million prize.
