The Portland Timbers U23s, who have already clinched the USL Premier Development League's Western Conference - Northwest Division title, extended their undefeated season to 12 games with a 3-0 rout of the expansion Washington Crossfire Wednesday at Interbay Stadium.
Michael Nielson opened the scoring in the 25th minute with an unassisted goal, then Freddie Braun assisted Brent Richards in the 39th minute to extend the lead to 2-0.
Brian Ramsey assisted Tracy Hasson on the final goal in second-half stoppage time.
The Timbers, now 12-0-0 with 36 points, host the Abbotsford Mariners Friday at Gresham High School in Portland, OR.
Washington, fifth in the division at 5-7-1 with 16 points, hosts the Kitsap Pumas July 13.
