Fabricio Codeceira assisted Jose Cuevas on a 33rd minute goal then posted his own goal in the 79th minute as the host Fresno Fuego slipped past the Los Angeles Legends 3-2 Thursday in USL Premier Development League play at Chukchansi Park.
Eddie Gutierrez also had an unassisted goal for the Fuego in the 73rd minute.
The Legends' goals came from Ricardo Ramirez in the 14th minute from Oscar Castillo and an unassisted play by Cesar Rivera in the 56th minute.
Fresno is 6-4-3 with 21 points and is in fourth place in the Western Conference - Southwest Division, two points behind the defending league champion Ventura County Fusion (7-4-1, 22) for third place. The Fuego are at the Ogden Outlaws this Thursday.
Los Angeles is tied for fifth place in the division with the Southern California Seahorses, who boast identical 4-7-2 records and 14 points. The Legends host the Lancaster Rattlers Saturday.
