Blair Gaven's second goal of the season in the 42nd minute allowed host Chivas USA to snap a six-game losing streak and tie the Philadelphia Union 1-1 Saturday in Major League Soccer play at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
However, the Red & White extended their current winless streak to seven games with the draw.
Chivas is in last place in the Western Conference at 3-9-2 with 11 points, but are tied with three Eastern Conference teams -- the Union (3-7-2), the New England Revolution and DC United (both 3-9-2) for the worst record in the league. Chivas takes on the Kansas City Wizards at CommunityAmerica Ballpark this Saturday.
Danny Mwanga scored his fifth goal of the year for the Union in the 21st minute. Philadelphia hosts the San Jose Earthquakes Saturday at PPL Park in Chester, PA.
