Walker’s Four-Point Night Keeps Blue Star Undefeated

Amani Walker had a hat trick and teamed with Christian Ramirez on a goal by Cito Soriano as the host Orange County Blue Star remained on top of the USL Premier Development League’s Western Conference – Southwest Division with a 4-3 win over the Fresno Fuego at Orange County’s Concordia University.

Fabricio Codceira led the Fuego by assisting on Jose Cuevas’ goal in the 10th minute, then adding an unassisted goal in the 52nd minute.

Gabriel Gonzales opened the scoring in the game for Fresno on a sixth minute unassisted goal.

The Blue Star are 4-0-3 with 15 points and have two home games this week at Concordia – against the Lancaster Rattlers Wednesday and the Ogden Outlaws Saturday.

The Fuego, at 2-3-2 with eight points, are in fifth place and host the defending PDL champion Ventura County Fusion Thursday.
