Alex Weekes scored off a 25th minute penalty kick and Sterling Flunder posted an unassisted goal in the 32nd minute as the host Pittsburgh Riverhounds shut out the Real Maryland Monarchs 2-0 Saturday in USL Second Division play at Edinboro University Stadium.
The Riverhounds (3-3-5) and the Monarchs (3-4-5) each share fourth place in the standings at 14 points each.
Pittsburgh host the Charlotte Eagles this Friday and the Monarchs host the Harrisburg City Islanders July 8.
