Des Moine Offers Menacing Win Over Tarnished Brass

The Des Moines Menace maintained control of their lead in the USL Premier Development League's Central Conference, Heartland Division Saturday after a 3-1 victory over the Kansas City Brass at Valley Stadium in West Des Moines, IA.

Ryan Hunter gave the Brass their only lead two minutes into the game when he scored off a Chris Markey assist.

Stephen Okai, on an unassisted goal in the 23rd minute, took the game to halftime tied 1-1.

Four minutes after the start of the half, Clark Bradford scored off a Sterling Copeland assist for the game-winning shot, then Luis Piffer had a goal offa Jubril Lawal assist in th 63rd minute.

The Menace are 4-1-0 with 12 points and will travel to the Real Colorado Foxes Friday night.

Kansas City, meanwhile, is 1-4-0 with three points and is fifth in the conference heading into a game next Sunday with the Rochester Thunder.
