De Rosario Double Gives Toronto First Road Win Of Season

Dwayne De Rosario proved he can score for Major League Soccer's Toronto FC without having to play in renovated BMO Field as he had two goals in Toronto's 3-1 win over the host San Jose Earthquakes at Buck Shaw Stadium at the University of Santa Clara Saturday.

Chad Barrett opened play with his fourth goal of the season in the 31st minute for Toronto to give them an eventual halftime lead befre De Rosario scored the first of his goals in the 70th minute.

Ramiro Corrales made the game interesting in the 75th minute when San Diego scored their only point, as De Rosario ended the scoring with his second goal of the night in the 94th minute.

For Toronto, the win improved their record to 5-4-1 with 16 points and are tied for second in the Eastern Conference with the Columbus Crew (6-1-2, 20 points). It was also Toronto's first win on the road in 2010 and their third win in their last four games. They travel to the Kansas City Wizards Saturday.

San Jose is 5-3-1 with 16 points and are tied for third in the Western Conference with the Colorado Rapids (same record) and the Houston Dynamo. They take on FC Dallas this Saturday.
