DC United Wins Exhibition Against AC Milan

Chris Pontius assisted on a Luciano Emilio in the 20th minute, then scored off a Santino Quaranta corner kick ten minutes later as Major League Soccer's DC United defeated AC Milan of Italy's Serie A 3-2 in an exhibition Wednesday at RFK Stadium.

Milan got both their goals of Massimo Oddo, who scored them in a late four-minute span of the second half.

United played the final 25 minutes of the game with 10 men as substitute midfielder Brandon Barklage was taken off the field on a stretcher due to an ankle injury. Team doctors were set to do an MRI on the ankle Thursday to determine the injury's severity.
