Major League Soccer's DC United will host a charity exhibition game June 19 at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC against the El Salvador National Team, DC United announced Tuesday.
The game will benefit the Spanish Catholic Center and United For DC.
The center wants to relocated Langley Park Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD to the Cardinal McCarrick Center in Wheaton, MD to improve access to high-quality medical care to those in medically underserved neighborhoods.
United For DC sponsors three major foundations:
- United Reads, a child literacy and healthy lifestyle initiative in Wards 1, 6 and 8.
- Kicks For Kids, an inner-city youth soccer program.
- United Soccer Club, an after-school program for disadvantaged youth in 12 sites throughout the Greater DC area.
