Davis Goal Causes Draw Between Futures, Wildcats

Omolyn Davis' second goal of the game, an unassisted play at the one-hour mark, was enough to cause a 3-3 draw between the Washington Freedom Futures and the host New Jersey Wildcats in W-League play Thursday at the College of New Jersey's Lions Stadium.

Davis opened the game with a goal in the 35th minute off a Julia Bouchelle assist. Molly Menchel put the Freedom up 2-1 in the 41st minute off a Holly King pass.

Kylee Ross led the Wildcats with two goals -- off an Ashley Reinerke assist seconds after Davis' first goal, and off an Ali Kliment assist in the 48th minute.

Jessica Fuccello had New Jersey's first goal of the game three minute in off Rachel Breton.

The Freedom Futures are 1-0-1 with four points and lead the Eastern Conference, Northeast Division. They will host the New York Magic June 5 at the Maryland SoccerPlex.

The draw was the opening game of the season for the Wildcats, who begin their 2010 home season June 6 against the Long Island Rough Riders at St. John Vianney High School.
