The Canadian Soccer Association announced Monday forward Roberto Brown of the Montreal Impact in the USSF Division 2 Pro League has been suspended for the next two games of the 2010 Nutrilite Canadian Championship after striking defender Nick Garcia of Major League Soccer's Toronto FC in the face in the 35th minute of Toronto's 2-0 victory last Wednesday at BMO Field.
Brown, who has not played in any USSF-D2 games this season, was originally suspended indefinitely Friday by the Impact, pending results of the CSA report on the matter.
He will miss this Wednesday's game at the USSF-D2's Vancouver Whitecaps and next Wednesday's game at Saputo Stadium against Toronto FC.
The three-team, round-robin tournament annually determines Canada's entry into the CONCACAF Champions League tournament.
