City Islanders Drain Battery, But Charleston Leads USL2

Dustin Bixler and Nicholas Zimmerman scored goals to lead the host Harrisburg City Islanders to a 2-1 upset of the United Soccer Leagues Second Division-leading Charleston Battery Saturday at Skyline Sports Complex in Harrisburg, PA.

David Schofield assisted on Bixler's 58th minute score and Jason Hotchkin assisted on Zimmerman's goal 20 minutes later.

Charleston's only goal came with four minutes left to play as Kevin Jackson had an unassisted goal.

Despite the loss, the Battery maintain the lead in USL2 at 6-1-1 with 19 points. They will host the Real Maryland Monarchs Saturday at Blackbaud Stadium.

Harrisburg is 1-4-1 with four points and in fifth place in the league standings. The City Islanders will host the Charlotte Eagles this Saturday.
