For the second time this season and third time in last three weeks, Los Angeles Galaxy forward Edson Buddle, who leads Major League Soccer's Golden Boot race with nine goals this season, was named the league's Player of the Week for Week 6 of the 2010 season.
He last won the weekly award for Week 4 of the season and was recently named the league's Player of the Month for April.
Buddle had two goals and assisted on A.J. DeLaGarza's goal in the first minute of the Galaxy's eventual 3-0 win at The Home Depot Center Saturday over the expansion Philadelphia Union.
This is also the third season -- following the 2004 and 2008 campaigns -- where he has been named Player of the Week twice in that season.
