The Rio Grande Valley Bravos of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League re-signed midfielder Gabriel Escandon from last year's expansion squad and welcomed defensive newcomer Omar Apodaca Friday.
Apodaca played in the PDL last season for Forest City London in London, Ontario, Canada and led the University of Texas-Brownsville/Texas Southmost College to a collegiate championship in 2009.
Escandon could be eligible to play for the Bravos as soon as Saturday's road game in Richmond, TX against the Houston Leones, but both will suit up for RGV at their next home game May 28 against the DFW Tornados.
