Barone's Goal Gives Fire Win Over Invaders

Domenic Barone scored on a 76th minute penalty kick to lead the Chicago Fire to a 1-0 victory Saturday over the Indiana Invaders in United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League play at the Invaders' soccer complex.

The Fire are 2-0-0 with six points and are in second place in the Central Conference, Great Lakes Division, one point behind the expansion Dayton Dutch Lions (2-0-1, seven). Chicago will next host the Cincinnati Kings Tuesday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL before traveling to the Cleveland Internationals this Saturday.

The Invaders, at 1-1-0 with three points, are in a three-way for fourth in the division with the Michigan Bucks (same record) and the Internationals (1-2-0). Indiana will host the Kalamazoo Outrage next Sunday.
