Kosovare Asllani scored his first Women's Professional Soccer goal of her career off a Marian Dalmy assist in the 56th minute as the host Chicago Red Stars shut out the league's top team, FC Gold Pride, 1-0 Saturday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.
The Pride remain the best team in the league at 5-2-0 with 15 points and the Red Stars, at 2-4-1 with seven points, are tied with the Boston Breakers (1-2-4) for fifth place.
The league will release an updated schedule for the remainder of the 2010 season next week, following the folding Thursday of the St. Louis Athletica franchise, leaving the league with seven teams.
