Pore PK Leads Timbers In Home Opener Over Rhinos

Ryan Pore's penalty kick goal in the 85th minute was all the host Portland Timbers needed to beat the Rochester Rhinos 1-0 in their USSF Division 2 Pro League home debut Saturday at PGE Park, their last in second division play before heading to Major League Soccer for the 2011 season.

The Timbers are 1-0-0 with three points and tied for third in the overall standings table with the Carolina RailHawks (1-1-0), FC Tampa Bay Rowdies (1-0-0) and NSC Minnesota Stars (1-0-1) and tied for second place in the USL Conference. Portland hosts AC St. Louis Thursday night.

Rochester is 0-1-1 with a point, eighth overall in the single table and fifth in the USL Conference standings. They will take on the Austin Aztex, the USSF D2 and USL Conference's best team, on the road this Saturday.
