Monarchs Signs Former Galaxy F Sesay

The Real Maryland Monarchs of the United Soccer Leagues Second Division announced the signing Tuesday of former Los Angeles Galaxy forward Israel Sesay to a contract.

He played for the Galaxy during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, but was loaned to the former Cleveland City Stars in USL First Division for the 2009 season, where he played in 12 games.

A native of Sierra Leone, his family moved to the US when he was 11.

He started 10 of 14 games with the US U-17 National team and had three assists.
