Kandji Makes Victory Sweet For Red Bulls

Macoumba Kandji scored the game's only goal in the 21st minute as the New York Red Bulls shut out the Seattle Sounders 1-0 Saturday in Major League Soccer play at Qwest Field.

The victory ended a league-record 27-game road losing streak (20-0-7) for New York, whose last road win came May 10, 2008 at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

The Red Bulls stay on the road next Saturday when they meet Chivas USA at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

The Sounders take on the defending MLS Cup champion Real Salt Lake next Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT.
