Wizards Waive Kraus To Meet Roster Limit

Major League Soccer's Kansas City Wizards reached the league's mandatory 24-player roster Wednesday deadline by placing forward Michael Kraus on waivers Tuesday.

Kraus was chosen by the Wizards with the 48th overall pick in the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft and spent his first two seasons playing for their former Reserve Division team.

He debuted with the senior team in the 2008 MLS Cup Playoffs against the Columbus Crew.

Kraus scored his first career goal March 28, 2009 against the Colorado Rapids and played in 10 other games last season.
