Major League Soccer's Kansas City Wizards traded goalkeeper Kevin Hartman to FC Dallas Monday for a 2010 second round SuperDraft pick.
Drafted by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the third round of the 1997 MLS College Draft, he stayed for 10 seasons, becoming a four-time MLS All-Star (2000, 2003, 2004, 2005) and leading them to two MLS Cup titles (2002, 2005), two Lamar Hunt US Open Cup titles (2001, 2005) and the 2000 CONCACAF Champions Cup crown.
He was named the MLS/Pepsi Goalkeeper of the Year in 1999 and to the league's AT&T Best XI.
Traded to Kansas City after the 2006 season, he played every minute of every regular season games in three seasons and led the team to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2007 and 2008.
In 2009, he played in all 30 games with a 1.40 goals against average and saved 105 shots.
Hartman owns league records at his position for games played (333), games started (328), minutes played (29,835), wins (146), saves (1,236) and shutouts (84).
He is 146-120-64 in regular season MLS games and 22-15-7 in the playoffs.
