Wave Win Fifth Straight Game, Slip Past Wave

Troy Dusosky scored a three-point goal and had two assists to lead the Major Indoor Soccer League-leading Milwaukee Wave to a 13-11 win over a revamped Rockford Rampage franchise Sunday at US Cellular Arena.

The Wave, 11-6 and close to clinching a playoff berth, won their fifth straight game and scored 13 or more points in their last three games.

Milwaukee hosts La Raza de Monterrey next Sunday, then close out the season with two games in Philadelphia March 17 and 20. The March 17 game was originally going to be a school-day scrimmage game for the Wave but the cancellation of a game in Philadelphia February 6 due to a major northeast snowstorm forced the game to be moved to Milwaukee, since the Kixx could not their home arena, the Liacouras Center at Temple University, for that date.

Chris Brisson and Fred Degand each had three-point goals for the Rampage, who lost their seventh straight game, despite getting rid of most of their roster through releases and the waiver wire.

Rockford, now in last place at 6-11 and five behind the Wave, is at the Baltimore Blast this Friday and at the Kixx next Sunday before ending their regular season at Monterrey March 21.
