Rhinos Add Francks, Motagalvan And Hoxie To Roster

The Rochester Rhinos of the USSF Division 2 Pro League announced the signings Monday of midfielders Jamie Franks and Alfonso Motagalvan and forward Andrew Hoxie.

Franks spilt time in 2009 with the Wilmington Hammerheads in the United Soccer Leagues Second Division and the First Division's Charleston Battery.

He has one goal in 17 games at Wilmington and no goals in two appearances with the Battery.

A fourth-round pick of Chivas USA in the 2009 Major League Soccer SuperDraft, he was a member of Wake Forest's 2007 NCAA Men's College Cup national champions.

He also played in the USL PDL for the Ocean City Barons and the Carolina Dynamo.

Motagalvan assisted on one goal in 12 appearances with the defending USL PDL national champion Ventura County Fusion.

He played 81 games in his college career with the University of California-Santa Barbara and was an All-Big West Conference and All-Far West pick in 2009.

Hoxie, a graduate of William & Mary, was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year last season after scoring 91 points on 35 goals and 21 assists.

A third-round pick of the San Jose Earthquakes in the 2010 SuperDraft, Hoxie scored two goals and an assist during the recent MLS Combine.

Hoxie also spent time away from college with the PDL's Virginia Legacy, where he played in 48 total games.
