Forward Fabrice Noel ended 2 1/2 seasons playing for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USSF Division 2 Pro League after signing a one-year deal to play for Shanghai East Asia of the second level Chinese Jia League.
Noel, who also played professionally for the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer, will become the first native of Haiti to play on a Chinese professional soccer team.
