According to The Washington Post Thursday, by a vote of 350-2, the Major League Soccer Players Union have decided to strike for the first time in league history if a new collective bargaining agreement isn't agreed to before the 2010 season starts in two weeks.
The current CBA expired January 31 after five years and has been extended twice, due to the inability of parties to meet in Washington, DC due to severe winter snowstorms.
The league and the players union held two days of talks Tuesday and Wednesday with a federal mediator to resolve the issue, but left the meetings with no new deal or a date for when negotiations will take place again.
