MLS Delays Roster Cutting Deadline

In a statement released Monday night by Major League Soccer, the league announced the date for teams to reduce their player rosters, originially scheduled for Monday, would be delayed "while discussions continue over related topics with the MLS Players Union."

The league and its players continue to work under an expired and twice-extended collective bargaining agreement, which saw its final end come February 25.

A new date to reduce players rosters "will be set in the next few weeks."
