The Abbotsford Mariners of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League announced the hiring Tuesday of Ian Knight as the team's head coach, effective Friday.
Among his career accomplishments, Knight served as head coach of the Mariners' USL Super-Y League team and was head coach of youth development at Grimsby Town. Knight also played on England's U-21 national team.
