Kixx Trade Gibson To Rampage For Player To Be Named Later

The Philadelphia Kixx acquired the services of forward Leo Gibson of the Rockford Rampage Thursday in return for a player to be named later in a Major Indoor Soccer League trade.

Gibson scored 15 points so far this season with the Kixx on seven two-point goals and an assist.

He came to the Kixx from the defunct Detroit Ignition, the only champion of the Xtreme Soccer League, in the 2008-09 season.

Gibson began his professional career in 2004 with a trial opportunity with the Dallas Burn in Major League Soccer (now known as FC Dallas).

In 2005, he signed a contract with the also-defunct Minnesota Thunder of the United Soccer Leagues First Division, but missed the entire season with an injury. Between the 2006 and 2008 USL1 seasons, he had two goals in 48 career games.
