Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders will be without midfielder/forward Nate Jaqua for the first six weeks of the 2010 season after being placed on injured reserve Thursday with a pubic symphosis injury.
He will be eligible to return to the team May 2 against the Columbus Crew at Qwest Field.
Jaqua, in his ninth season in the league, started 27 of 28 games in 2009 and had career highs in goals and assists with nine and seven, respectively.
