According to several Miami-area newspapers, former three-time Major League Soccer Best XI member and 2006 league Most Valuable Player Christian Gomez will become the sixth former league player to join Miami FC Blues of the USSF Division 2 Pro League for the 2010 season.
He will become the sixth former MLS star to sign with the franchise.
Gomez became a free agent when DC United, who he played with for five seasons, chose not to offer him a contract for this season.
In five seasons with United and one with the Colorado Rapids, he scored 48 goals and 39 assists in 130 league games.
In the 2006 season at United, he had 14 goals and 11 assists that season.
