Ex-Wizards D Watson Signs Two-Year Deal With Aztex

The USSF Division 2 Pro League's Austin Aztex announced the signing to a two-year deal of former Kansas City Wizards defender Lance Watson Tuesday.

In four seaasons with the Major League Soccer club, he started 29 of 43 games and had his best season in 2008, when he started 19 games and assisted on their lone goal in a 1-1 draw to DC United.

He also played on the team's Reserve Division squad and, in 2007, was the only player to play every minute of every game that season, scoring three goals and two assists.

A 2006 second round MLS SuperDraft pick from the University of New Mexico, he had 22 goals and 22 assists in four seasons for the Lobos, finishing sixth all-time in points and goals and second all-time in assists.
