Ex-Czech Star Kubik Fills Opening On USMNT Coaching Staff

Longtime Czechoslovakian player Lubos Kubik was named Tuesday as the one to fill the final assiatant coaching opening on the US Men's National Team and will be on the sidelines when they face the Netherlands Wednesday in Amsterdam, Holland.

Kubik, who played 17 seasons for what is now the Czech Republic and was on head coach Bob Bradley's 1998 Chicago Fire team in Major League Soccer, joins former Chivas USA and Fire player Jesse Marsch as assistant coaches, filling spots left open when main assistant Peter Nowak left to become head coach of MLS' new Philadelphia Union and USMNT assistant John Hackworth left to join Nowak's staff.
