Major League Soccer's San Jose Earthquakes and the Portland Timbers of the USSF Division 2 Pro League played to a 1-1 draw Saturday at Buck Shaw Stadium at the University of Santa Clara.
After being scoreless for over the first half hour of play, Cornell Glen gave San Jose the early lead in the 71st minute, but Scot Thompson hit the equalizing goal nine minutes later.
