Major League Soccer's DC United will face Santos Laguna of Mexico's Primera Division in a preseason contest March 10 in Torreon, Mexico, the team announced Wednesday.
United will leave Friday to prepare for the game, then will head to Charleston, SC to take part in the annual Carolina Challenge Cup tournament, hosted by the Charleston Battery of the United Soccer Leagues Second Division March 13-20 at Blackbaud Stadium.
The Battery, who have never won the tournament in its history, will meet United and two other MLS franchises -- defending league champion Real Salt Lake and Toronto FC -- in the round-robin tournament.
