The Columbus Crew extended their string of season-opening wins in Major League Soccer to six as Guillermo Barros Schelotto assisted on an Andy Iro goal in the 29th minute, then scored the game-winner in the 87th minute of a 2-0 victory over Toronto FC Saturday at Crew Stadium.
The loss ruined the head coaching debut for Preki, who came to Toronto after being fired from Chivas USA.
Both teams play again April 10 on the road -- Columbus at FC Dallas, Toronto at the New England Revolution.
