Miami Moving Games To Fort Lauderdale; Could Change Name To Strikers

Miami FC Blues of the USSF Division II Pro League announced they will play all their 2010 season home games at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, where their crowds were ten times larger than in Florida International University in Miami, according to Saturday's South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Traffic Sports, which owns the franchise, says they hope to be able to convert Lockhart, a long-abandoned spring baseball stadium site, into a year-round training academy and the team's new headquarters.

The firm also stated they have applied for the trademark of the former North American Soccer League team in Fort Lauderdale, the Strikers, and will change the team's name to it when they begin in the new NASL in 2011.
