A team known for signing talent in bunches, AC St. Louis of the USSF Division II Pro League announced the signings Friday of six more players -- Brazilian forwards Gauchinho and Cassiano Moreira, goalkeepers Chad Backer and Alec Duffy, and midfielders Jeff Cosgriff and Gilbert Pogosyan.
Gauchinho, born Jeferson Lima de Menezes, played the last four seasons in Denmark for Naestved BK, scoring 15 goals in 87 career games. He began his career in 2002 with Flamengo in his home country of Brazil.
Moreira, better known by his first name, had two goals in 13 games with EC Sao Jose in Brazil in 2009 and will be reunited in St. Louis with teammate Alex Titton.
Becker becomes the sixth player with ties to the local area signed to the franchise. He played in 67 games over four seasons with Rockhurst University in Kansas City, MO.
Duffy split his collegiate career between NCAA Division II Appalachian State and the University of Evansville. He also played in one game for Major League Soccer's New York Red Bulls.
Cosgriff had nine goals in 64 career games at Santa Clara University.
Pogosyan had seven goals and three assists in his final season at Pasadena City College.
