MLS Issues Additional Fines, Suspensions To Saragosa, Spencer, Yallop

Major League Soccer's Disciplinary Committee Tuesday issued additional fines and suspensions on Chivas USA midfielder Marcelo Saragosa, Houston Dynamo assistant coach John Spencer and San Jose Earthquakes head coach Frank Yallop for recent incidents.

Saragosa received a red card for dangerous play against Seattle's Fredy Montero in Saturday's game.

Spencer was ejected from their game Saturday against Real Salt Lake and failed to leave the field in a timely manner.

Both Saragosa and Spencer received automatic one-game suspensions and $500 fines for their discretions, but now Saragosa is out a second game and fined another $500 and Spencer was suspended for a second game and fined an additional $1,000.

Saragosa will miss Chivas games against the New York Red Bulls Saturday and next Saturday's contest versus DC United.

Spencer will miss next Saturday's contest against the Kansas City Wizards and October 18 against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

Yallop was fined $750 for confronting league officials after the Earthquakes' game against the Colorado Rapids Friday.
