Dynamo Gets Thompson, Allocation Money From KC For Kamara

The Houston Dynamo acquired forward Abe Thompson and allocation money from the Kansas City Wizards in exchange for forward Kei Kamara Tuesday on the deadline date for trades in Major League Soccer for the 2009 season.

Kamara, who came to Houston in July 2008 in a trade with the revived San Jose Earthquakes, had a career-high five goals with the Dynamo this season. In 32 regular season career games, 26 of them starts, he has seven goals and three assists.

Thompson, who spent the first three and a half years with FC Dallas, started one game out of eight for the Wizards this season. In 85 career games, he has 14 goals and 12 assists.
